| Anyone tried the ME nursing pads? If so, which have you tried, the bamboo and/or terry? If you have used both, which is your preference? Do they absorb well? Do they show through your bra and shirt? Thanks. |

| I tried both (bamboo and cotton) with both my kids, and I found they showed right through my bra/t-shirt, they were quite thick. My husband said he could only see them if he was looking for them, but I thought they were pretty obvious. That said, they worked great, and I used them anyway, just with a sweater over top. Not so great for the summer, but they did work. |

| I absolutely loved the bamboo ME nursing pads! I would recommend them in a heartbeat. I bought Kushies ones to begin with and they always bunched up in the wash but the ME ones always stayed flat. They were soft and comfy and absorbent. They fit discreetly inside my nursing bras so they did not show through my bra. Of course, make sure you wash them in a delicate bag...my Kushies ones got stuck in the washer and we didn't know until our washer started not draining and dh pulled out my nursing pads! |

I used Avent fabric nursing pads, as well as sundry disposable types that I was given, and I thought they all showed quite a lot, even the super-thin disposable ones. Granted, these were just fabric nursing bras, not really lined at all like "t-shirt" bras are, so maybe that would make a difference. You don't want to look goofy, but somehow even though my pads showed it just didn't bother me--of course, I knew I was studying my chest to figure this out, so the casual observer probably noticed nothing! Big wet spots? Very obvious and not so good. Evidence of nursing pad? Big deal. I will definitely second the suggestion to wash them in a lingerie/delicates bag. |

I have used all three types (terry, organic and bamboo) and liked them all. The bamboo were the softest. Did they show through my shirt? Well, not enough to make me buy disposable, how's that?! And I'm pretty picky about how my breasts look in a shirt I just washed them with my MEs diapers. I liked to change the nursing pads often, so I'd buy atleast 6 pairs, if not more.
I hope this helps! |

| I have both the bamboo (6 pairs) and cotton (2 pairs), and prefer the bamboo 'cause they're sooooooo soft, but they're both great. They're thick enough that I never leak through, and yet, I don't think they're more obvious through a shirt than the plastic-backed disposable ones. This time around, I haven't used disposable ones a single time. I personally don't care if someone can tell I've got a nursing pad in - I figure it's better than a huge wet spot, and if they can't tell that I'm a nursing mom by my haggard appearance or by the baby hanging off my chest, then that's not my problem. Having said that, unless they get bunched up, I don't think they're that obvious. |

| hi. i know that this is somewhat of an old topic, but i am looking into buying some of these. i have a few questions. i was using disposable nursing pads when i first started nursing almost 18 months ago but hated the expense of them. then a friend bought me 2 packs of reusable gerber nursing pads. these have a "water resistant" layer that faces your bra. the only trouble with these is when i got let down, the milk would wick through the whole pad and my whole bra would be soaked and you would see a huge wet spot. since i am assuming that these are not waterproof, will they work better than the gerber ones as far as containing the milk and knot making my whole bra soaked? also, how long can you wear them before needing a change? i will need a few pair of these because we are expecting baby #2 in march and i do not want to go through the hastle of disposables. |
