I have a set of small sandies which I am using with the Rikki covers. Thinking about buying the all in one diapers instead of large sandies plus covers - any opinions on which is better? I line dry the diapers. I was wondering which would be better in terms of absorbency and leakage etc

Hello,

I haven't personally tried the All in one Diaper, but from reading the forum for a while, my understanding is that they are not quite as fail-safe as the Sandy's or the One-size diapers because they lack the separate diaper and cover which can catch more leaks. They also take more time to dry and might not last as long as you have to wash the "cover" with every diaper instead of reusing a cover for several diaper changes like most people can do when they are separate. Since they are also more expensive, they are more popular for occasional use (diaper bag, babysitters or occasional caregivers who need a simpler solution) than for everyday use. But some people do use them as their main diaper and love it - I'm sure they'll chime in!

I have both.  The Sandy's diapers plus the covers will give you a lot more absorbancy and be much more leak proof.  The benefit of the all in ones is that they are great for on the go and also for potty learning.  I use them with my daughter and she is able to pull them up and down like panties but they have the absorbancy of a diaper.
