I was just wondering if anyone has enough experience with the various materials offered in the Mother Ease One Size Diapers.  I am curious as to the more detailed differences in the regular One Size versus the Organic One Size versus the Bamboo One Size.  I have been told the Bamboo will stay soft for life, but what about the others.  I mean, obviously, besides environmental benefits, cost is a huge issue when purchasing cloth diapers, so I am wanting to know if the differences in material are worth the differences in price.  I am wanting to order a package soon, but not sure which material to go with.  And if it matters, I am only planning on using it through birth through potty training for my daughter, we are not having any more kids, so I don't need to worry about them lasting through multiple kids, just for a few years.

Thanks so much!

Jen

I own both unbleached cotton onesize and bamboo onesize.  I also own a organic cotton sandy.  The unbleached cotton onesize have durability. The bamboo are definitely trimmer and they are softer than the onesize.  The organic cotton sandy is nice but very bulky compared to a bamboo sandy.

Motherease has a sample of the fabrics that they will send out to you if you want to see/feel the fabric (a small square of each of the fabrics they use).  Most people choose one fabric over the other for personal reasons. I personally have a variety because I wanted to try each fabric.

I have 2 children in diapers (a 2 month old and a 22 month old).  I love the bamboo on the 2 month old because it folds down trimmer and is soft against his skin. I love the bamboo for the 22 month old because it is trimmer and easier to get clothes on over.

I hope this helps you out,

Elizabeth

I only have experience using the regular one size.  I have been using mine for 10 months and I love them.  But they are pretty "crunchy" because I only line-dry... never use the dryer since I want them to last a LONG time.... like on at least 3-4 kids (if I'm lucky).  I think that if I would dry them they would be reasonably soft, but personally my baby has never minded "crunchy" diapers, and they are softer in the summer since I can hang them outside to wind/sun dry.  Just my little opinion.  When I say "crunchy" I don't mean super hard or stiff... just not that soft fuzzy feel you expect from terry cloth.   Kind of like an older, absorbant towel that's been line dried.
